Please join us for this important discussion with His Excellency Cesar V. Purisima, secretary of finance for the Republic of the Philippines. The Philippines’ economy has been one of Asia’s strongest performers in recent years. Secretary Purisima will discuss the Philippines’ commitments to regional integration, key developments in the Philippine economy, and areas of cooperation with the United States.
Secretary Purisima has served as secretary of finance since 2010. Earlier, he served in the government as secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry. He also served as chair and board member of a number of government institutions including the National Power Corporation, the Land Bank of the Philippines, and the Monetary Board.
