Cyber-security is a growing sub-field of national security that will require a steady pipeline of talent in the coming years. Women continue to be under-represented in this area. How can public and private sector institutions better attract women for these jobs, and how can women’s leadership opportunities be supported?

This special event to discusses the importance of diversity in building the cyber security workforce of the future, with a specific focus on women.  This half-day event includes a panel of experts from multiple sectors and will feature a keynote address by Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

This event:

  • Presents the business case for the critical importance of creating a diverse talent pool in cyber-security;
  • Highlights best practices and lessons learned in recruiting, retaining and advancing women;
  • Inspires young women to consider and pursue cyber-security opportunities;
  • Empowers stakeholders to take on specific actions that will foster create more diversity in their organizations.
