Challenges of America's Transportation Infrastructure

On May 22, CSIS was host to Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta and a panel of experts, who discussed the challenges of securing America's transportation infrastructure and how government and the private sector must work together to address those challenges. The meeting was the fourth in a series reviewing the steps taken to recover from the events of September 11 and subsequent anthrax attacks, and what must be done to improve the overall security of the nation's critical infrastructure.
