A CSIS PONI event with Director General Yukiya Amano of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
Last month, Director General Yukiya Amano stated that “the IAEA stands ready to undertake verification and monitoring activities in North Korea if a political agreement is reached among countries concerned.” Additionally, the IAEA closely follows developments related to implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and plays a crucial role in verifying Iran’s compliance with the nuclear agreement.
