U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai’s speech at CSIS kicks off the bilateral component of the Biden administration’s China trade policy. How is Beijing likely to react? What are prospects for the trade relationship in the coming months and years? We will hear from two leading Chinese experts for their initial analysis: Wang Yong, Director of the Center for International Political Economy at Peking University, and Tu Xinquan, Dean of the China Institute for WTO Studies at the University of International Business and Economics. The discussion will be moderated by CSIS Senior Adviser and Trustee Chair Scott Kennedy.

This event is made possible by general CSIS support.
