Please join CSIS for a conversation with Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Richard Marles, on the future of the U.S.-Australia alliance. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 7, from 10:00 am-11:00 am.

Deputy Prime Minister Marles will be in the U.S. for the annual Australia-U.S. Ministerial Consultations (AUSMIN), the primary forum to discuss bilateral relations between the two allies. He will share his insights on the United States-Australia relationship, addressing key areas of cooperation and outline the next steps for the partnership to address emerging global challenges.  

This event will feature an introduction by CSIS President and CEO John Hamre, followed by a fireside chat between Deputy Prime Minister Marles and Charles Edel.

CSIS's Australia Chair conducts independent policy research aimed at strengthening U.S.-Australia relations. The Chair is endowed through the generosity of Pratt Industries.
