A Conversation with Paul Dabbar
The CSIS Energy & National Security Program is pleased to host The Honorable Paul Dabbar, Under Secretary for Science, for a public discussion on the priorities of the U.S. Department of Energy and the role of innovation in DOE's mission and the U.S. energy sector broadly.
Paul Dabbar serves as the Department’s principal advisor on fundamental energy research, energy technologies, and science. In addition, Mr. Dabbar manages the environmental and legacy management missions of the Department, addressing the U.S. legacy of nuclear weapons production and government-sponsored nuclear energy research. Mr. Dabbar is also the lead for technology commercialization activities for the Department and its 17 national labs. Prior to confirmation as Under Secretary for Science, Mr. Dabbar worked as a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, leading various energy business areas.
