The CSIS Southeast Asia Program is honored to host the President of the Republic of the Philippines, Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., on May 4 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on his first official working visit to Washington.  Since his inauguration last June, President Marcos Jr. has overseen a recalibration and modernization of the U.S.-Philippines alliance. In the past month alone, the United States and the Philippines held their first Two-Plus-Two Ministerial Dialogue in seven years and their largest joint annual military exercise to date.

This event is part of the CSIS ASEAN Leadership Forum, the premier Washington venue for senior officials from Southeast Asian countries and other key dialogue partners to address today’s pressing issues before a Washington, D.C.-based policy audience.

In-person attendance for this event is at capacity. We invite you to watch the live webcast through this page. Credentialed members of the media will receive instructions as part of confirmation issued by the Office of External Relations.

Please submit your questions online using the form on this webpage.

This event was made possible through general support to CSIS.
