Copenhagen Forum on Atlantic Media and the Environment (FAME-III)

Monday, June 28, 2010 1:00 pm -
Thursday, July 1, 2010 12:00 am
Denmark, Copenhagen

One of the main aims of TMN’s annual environmental journalists’ conferences is to bring together European and American journalists to "talk shop" how they cover the environment, the challenges they face, the differences, and similarities, between working on either side of the Atlantic.

The Copenhagen conference included presentations by European and American journalists, followed by discussions of the presentations, briefings by senior Danish and EU officials, visits to world-leading Danish environmental companies, a visit to the EU’s European Environment Agency in Copenhagen, a briefing by video conference from Washington on the latest political developments on U.S. energy and climate change legislation, assessments by journalists of the coverage of last December's Copenhagen climate negotiations in the United States and Europe, and analysis of how far the general public remains interested in international climate action and other environmental issues.
