Crisis in Ukraine: The Collapsing of Minsk II and Its Aftermath
Mr. Valentyn Nalyvaichenko has had to postpone his visit to Washington. However, we are pleased to announce that Mr. Andriy Taranov, Ukrainian President Poroshenko’s deputy head of administration, will share Mr. Nalyvaichenko’s presentation and offer his reflections on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and its implications for the future of Ukraine’s defense and security.
In cooperation with the CSIS Russia and Eurasia Program, please join us for an important discussion which will take stock of the escalating conflict in Ukraine and the collapse of the February 2015 Minsk II agreement. Four months after the adoption of a second ceasefire agreement, fighting in eastern Ukraine has escalated as Russia-backed separatists push westward toward Maryinka and Mariupol. Mr. Taranov, deputy head of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration, will offer his insights on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Russia’s involvement in the crisis, and the future of Ukrainian security and stability.
