CSIS Press Briefing: Public Trust in a Covid-19 Vaccine
The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) will host a press call on Tuesday, October 20, at 9:00 a.m. on public confidence in a Covid-19 vaccine.
The United States faces an urgent crisis: plummeting public confidence in vaccines and rampant misinformation just as safe and effective Covid-19 vaccines appear to be on the horizon. In response, The High-Level Panel on Vaccine Confidence and Misinformation, led jointly by CSIS and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, has released a new Call to Action, which lays out several concrete steps that can bolster public trust in vaccines, deliver accurate and reliable science to Americans, and raise the prospects of the safe delivery of Covid-19 vaccines in 2021.
In this call, CSIS’s J. Stephen Morrison and Katherine Bliss and the London School’s Heidi Larson will discuss the proposal and its recommendations for effectively combating vaccine misinformation.
