Decarbonizing the Electric Power Sector
You are cordially invited to the second session in the Climate Solutions Series, Decarbonizing the Electric Power Sector. This public discussion will examine the technological potential for reaching net-zero GHG emissions from power generation, policies to drive power sector decarbonization, the challenge of creating low-carbon electric power sectors in developing countries, examples of private sector contributions to power sector decarbonization, and how businesses can increase supply of—and drive demand for—zero-carbon power.
Additional speakers to be announced.
About the Climate Solutions Series
The Climate Solutions Series brings together a wide range of audiences to examine ways to reach net-zero GHG emissions in different sectors of the economy. This series of six public events opened with a discussion of emissions pathways; the following five events will focus on power, transportation, industry, and buildings, and conclude with carbon dioxide removal technologies that cut across multiple economic sectors.
The CSIS Energy Program will release analysis examining the path to decarbonization of each sector following each session.
This series is made possible by the generous support of JPMorgan Chase & Company.
