Defense Industrial Policies: An Israeli Perspective

Alex Dan, a senior executive with Elbit Systems Ltd., will present new ways in which Israeli defense companies work with the Israeli Ministry of Defense to swiftly bring innovative technology solutions to the warfighter, and discuss whether lessons can be drawn from this experience for the U.S. defense RDT&E and acquisition systems.

Mr. Alex Dan is currently head of the ISTAR business line at Elbit’s Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) division, and a Colonel (ret.) in the Israeli Air Force. Previously, he was director for business development and strategic planning at Elbit, a department director in the IAF, and commander of a helicopter squadron.
