Digital Transformation in the Western Hemisphere: An Aging Population

March 11, 2022 • 8:30 – 10:00 am EST

Please join the Americas Program for the virtual discussion “Digital Transformation in the Western Hemisphere: An Aging Population” which will be livestreamed via Zoom on Friday, March 11th from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. EST.

As the aging population increases substantially in the region, countries must support the dignified lives of the elderly, strengthen social infrastructure, and prepare the workforce for a demographic shift. The event will discuss ways to keep up with workforce demand, encourage the silver economy, provide better access to insurance policies and pensions systems, strengthen the health care sector efficiency, and support caregivers.

The event will delve into some of the findings and recommendations provided in CSIS’s policy brief for Addressing an Aging Population through Digital Transformation in the Western Hemisphere.

This event was made possible by generous support from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
