Eastern Partnership: Can the EU and U.S. Join Forces?
May 2010 marked the one year anniversary of the establishment of the Eastern Partnership. It is an opportune moment to assess the Partnership's early achievements and continuing challenges, as well as to determine whether an overarching transatlantic strategy can be developed for enhanced cooperation in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. This inaugural seminar examined concrete U.S.- EU partnership opportunities with a specific emphasis on deepening the reform agenda in Moldova. The Honorable Mikolaj Dowgielewicz, Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland, provided the keynote address.
