The CSIS Southeast Asia Program and Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative are pleased to present the Eleventh Annual South China Sea Conference: Session One on Friday, July 30, 2021. This monthly webinar series will provide opportunities for detailed discussion and analysis of key developments in the South China Sea over the past year and potential paths forward. Panelists will address the strategic balance in the region and U.S. policy under the Biden administration. This session will feature a keynote address by Representative Elaine Luria, Vice-Chair of the House Armed Services Committee, followed by a panel discussion on the state of affairs in the South China Sea with Bonny Lin, Director of the China Power Project at CSIS, Zack Cooper, Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and Nguyen Nam Duong, Deputy Director-General of the East Sea Institute at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
