December 2, 2022 • 12:00 – 1:00 pm EST

Max Bergmann interviews Jeffrey Mankoff on his latest book

The Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program at CSIS is excited to announce our upcoming event with Dr. Jeffrey Mankoff, discussing his latest book, Empires of Eurasia: How Imperial Legacies Shape International Security. Dr. Mankoff argues that the imperial legacies of contemporary China, Iran, Russia, and Turkey are critical in studying the international actions of these four Eurasian powers today. In this live discussion with Max Bergmann, Director of the Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program and the Lillan and Robert D. Stuart Jr. Center in Euro-Atlantic and Northern European Studies, Dr. Mankoff will outline the main points of his book, and describe their important implications for our current moment of geopolitical unrest.

This online-only event will take place on Friday, December 2nd at 12:00pm (EST).

This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
