A European Perspective on the Future of Global AIDS Programs: A Conversation with Five AIDS Ambassadors

At an event hosted by CSIS's Task Force on HIV/AIDS and the Center for Global Development, five European AIDS ambassadors discussed lessons learned from global AIDS programs, and opportunities and challenges for European-U.S. collaboration. The ambassadors also joined audience members in small groups focused on: HIV prevention, gender and HIV/AIDS, donor harmonization and coordination, and intellectual property and access to medicines. The morning closed with a plenary session featuring highlights from the small groups.

The AIDS ambassadors were:

  • Michel Lastschenko, Belgium
  • Sigrun Mogedal, Norway
