With the revision of three key security documents in December 2022, Japan is charting a new course in its national defense strategy. To deepen scholars’ and policymakers’ understanding of this strategic trajectory, the CSIS Japan Chair invited eight scholars from Japan and the United States to analyze Japan’s defense priorities and share their perspectives on the road ahead.
