Export Financing in an Increasingly Competitive World: Challenges from China and Beyond

July 6, 2017 • 9:30 – 10:30 am EDT

Featuring remarks by Charles J. Hall, Acting Chairman and President of the US Ex-Im Bank

International infrastructure projects, such as China’s Belt & Road Initiative offer tremendous export opportunities, but the competition is fierce. Export financing has become more complex and competitive as the number of export credit agencies has increased, and many of them operate outside of the OECD. Acting EXIM Chairman C.J. Hall will provide an update on EXIM’s current status and discuss the competitive landscape of export financing, especially the challenge of China’s vigorous export support. He also will share the results of EXIM’s 2016 Competitiveness Report that shows what the United States is up against in global markets.
