The FDA as a Global Actor

CSIS hosts for a conversation with Dr. Margaret A. Hamburg, Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, on Monday October 1 from 8:30am-10:00am in the CSIS B1 conference center.

In an exchange with CSIS's J. Stephen Morrison, Dr. Hamburg that reflects on the FDA's experience during the Obama Administration in expanding its capacities and partnerships outside U.S. borders to protect Americans' health and safety in the complex, globalized marketplace for both food and drugs.  She comments on U.S. achievements, lessons learned, and outstanding priorities that lie ahead for the next Administration and Congress.
