The Future of Latin America’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
Brought to you by
Join the CSIS Americas Program for a conversation on Latin America’s start-up culture and its entrepreneurial landscape.
In 2021, Latin America became one of the fastest-growing regions in terms of venture capital investment, and by the end of the year, it was home to 47 privately held start-ups valued at over $1 billion (known colloquially as “unicorns”). In 2022, however, there was a sharp decline in venture capital investment, which brought new challenges to entrepreneurs in the region. The event will focus on how Latin America’s investment climate, hampered by high inflation and rising interest rates, can adapt to become resilient to these changes and manage to sustain growth.
The event will feature David Velez, CEO of Nubank, Adolfo Babatz, Co-Founder and CEO of Clip, and Carlos Garcia Ottati, Founder and CEO of Kavak.
This event was made possible through the generous support of the Chubb Corporation and General Atlantic.
