Hurricane Irma: The Aftermath and Caribbean Disaster Response

Hurricane Irma hit the Caribbean and Florida in recent days with devastating impact. The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) has organized a special public event to allow Ambassadors and other senior embassy officials from the affected Caribbean nations to describe the impact and implications of the disaster and the short- and medium-term responses already underway. U.S., European, and regional officials will also share emergency relief and reconstruction actions and plans. Please join us on Wednesday, September 13th at 4:30 pm at CSIS for what will be the first in a series of ongoing discussions of the consequences of Hurricane Irma and how the international community can best respond.
