The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) invites you to attend a conversation with Dr. Alexis Lasselle Ross about the US Army’s new policy on intellectual property (IP). The new policy on the Army’s management of IP was signed by Secretary of the Army Dr. Mark T. Esper in December 2018. Dr. Ross, the deputy assistant secretary of the Army for strategy and acquisition reform, spearheaded the policy effort and worked across stakeholders to make the Army IP policy a reality. The new policy has four key principles: 1) foster open communication with industry, 2) plan early and develop a customized IP strategy, 3) negotiate custom data and licenses, and 4) negotiate early in the process for competitive prices.
