Innovative Immigration and Border Control Reform

Thursday, February 7, 2013 1:00 pm - 4:45 pm

Recent shifts in the political landscape have created an environment in which reforms to immigration and border security are increasingly discussed, yet forward progress on these issues could easily be derailed due to the myriad challenges inherent in policy-based reforms. The application of technological innovation may hold the potential to lessen these obstacles by reducing the burden of tasks such as verifying an employee's immigration status, granting visas, and screening those seeking to enter the United States. Please join CSIS on Thursday, February 7th for an on-the-record conference exploring the utility of and potential for technological innovation associated with immigration and border control.
