Investing in America: Contributions by the Indian IT Sector

Thursday, March 22, 2012 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Center for Strategic and International Studies1800 K Street, NWWashington DC, 20006

The relationship between the United States and India is robust and vibrant. It is also a two-way street. The level of cooperation and the exchange of goods, services, and ideas between the two countries continue to grow in both size and importance. The next phase of this partnership will see a continuation and expansion of the investments both nations are making in the other. Please join us to discuss the findings of a recent report by India’s National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), which attempts to quantify the trends and benefits behind the investments India based IT and BPO firms are making in the United States.

With Remarks By:

The Honorable Nirupama Rao
Ambassador of India to the United States

Mr. Som Mittal
President, NASSCOM

Ambassador Charles Ford
Acting Assistant Secretary for Trade Promotion
and Director General of the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service,
U.S. Department of Commerce

Ambassador Karl Inderfurth
Senior Advisor & Wadhwani Chair
U.S.-India Policy Studies
