Lubbock Forum on Atlantic Media and the Environment

Monday, October 15, 2012 11:30 pm -
Sunday, October 21, 2012 4:00 pm
Texas Tech University 2500 Broadway Lubbock, TX 79409

Environmental journalists from Europe and the United States continued discussions on how the environment is covered on both sides of the Atlantic. On the European side, presentations were given by Dirk Asendorpf of Die Zeit, Nicolas Chateauneuf of France 2 TV, and Matt McGrath of the BBC World Service. Representing the Americans were Michael Kodas (Colorado photojournalist and author), Peter Thomson of PRI's The World, and Carolyn Whetzel of BNA. The group visted research laboratories with talks and briefings by leading toxicologists. The journalists then participated in the Society of Environmental Journalists' 22nd Annual Conference.
