CSIS Southeast Asia Program was honored to host a luncheon for the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister of the Republic of Singapore The Honorable Teo Chee Hean. In his speech he highlighted that Southeast Asia is where the strategic interests of the US and China intersect. While the US remains an important strategic partner for many ASEAN countries, China is overtaking the US in terms of trade and investment ties.
