A Middle East Zone Free of WMD: Between Rhetoric and Reality
The 2010 Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference recommended that a conference be convened in 2012 on the establishment of a Middle East zone free of nuclear weapons and all other weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
To examine strategies for shaping the conference framework, the CSIS Proliferation Prevention Program and the CSIS Middle East Program held an off-the-record forum on “A Middle East Zone Free of WMD: Between Rhetoric and Reality.”
