The Obama administration's recently released National Strategy for the Arctic Region focuses on the need to advance U.S. security interests in the region by "intelligently evolving our Arctic infrastructure and capabilities." Admiral Papp will discuss the Coast Guard's strategic vision for its future role in the Arctic and how it plans to address increased operational requirements and challenges in an era of limited budget resources.
