NATO in the 21st Century: The Work of the Group of Experts on the New NATO Strategic Concept

This first Washington discussion of the final analysis and recommendations of the Group of Experts on NATO's new Strategic Concept took place just two days after its presentation to the North Atlantic Council in Brussels. Former U.S. Secretary of State and Chair of the Group of Experts Madeleine K. Albright provided an overview of the Group's key findings. Mr. Jim Hoagland, Foreign Affairs Columnist from The Washington Post then moderated a discussion between Secretary Albright and former U.S. National Security Advisor General Brent Scowcroft on the challenges confronting the Atlantic Alliance over the coming decade.
