The NATO Summit and Beyond

A working group of leading experts on NATO and its relations with the European Union met for a two-day seminar in Riga, Latvia, on September 15-17. Organized by the CSIS Brzezinski Chair in Geostrategy and with the CSIS Europe Program, in cooperation with Latvia’s Strategic Analysis Commission, the group met to generate actionable ideas and recommendations in the context of the upcoming NATO Summit which will take place in Riga in late November. A parallel working group on the European Union and its relations with the United States met for a pair of seminars at CSIS earlier this spring.
