Navigating Security Challenges in the Black Sea Region

Please join the CSIS Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program on Thursday, January 11th from 11:30am ET at CSIS HQ, for an in-person panel discussion between Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Elizabeth M. Allen, Max Bergmann, Dr. Jeffrey Mankoff, and Dr. Lisa Aaronson, on managing security risks in the Black Sea Region. The conversation will touch on the current U.S. Black Sea Strategy, security challenges faced by U.S. Allies and partners in the Black Sea region, and the importance of strengthening democratic institutions and ties between our people.
Elizabeth M. Allen is the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. Max Bergmann is Director of the CSIS Stuart Center and Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program. Dr. Jeffrey Mankoff is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the U.S. National Defense University's Institute for National Strategic Studies and a Non-Resident Senior Associate with the CSIS Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program. Dr. Lisa Aronsson is a Research Fellow at the Center for Strategic Studies at the Institute for National Strategic Studies at National Defense University.
