The Forum was intended to become a permanent feature of the annual Nobel Peace Prize celebrations in Oslo, and will serve as an arena for interdisciplinary discussion and reflection on pivotal and timely issues of importance to international peace and security. Depending on the issues the Forum will bring together unique constellations of former Nobel Laureates, world-leading political experts, policy makers, key opinion leaders, civil society and business community representatives, journalists, students, and the general public.
The topic of this year’s Forum was "The United States and world peace after the Presidential Election". Keynote speakers were former U.S. top officials and foreign policy experts Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski and Dr. Henry Kissinger.
The Forum was hosted by the Norwegian Nobel Institute in close collaboration with the University of Oslo.
