The CSIS Korea Chair is delighted to invite you to a live-streaming conference, "North Korean Human Rights and International Cooperation: The Way Forward after the UN Commission of Inquiry (COI)+10," on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 9:00 AM EDT. This conference will bring together scholars, experts, and officials to discuss the direction of North Korea's human rights issues as 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the UN Human Rights Council's vote to create a Commission of Inquiry into North Korea's human rights situation.
This conference will feature remarks by Ambassador Lee Shin-wha, Ambassador-at-Large for International Cooperation on North Korean Human Rights of the Republic of Korea, and recorded remarks by the Honorable Park Jin, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea. In addition, a panel of experts will discuss the ongoing human rights crisis in North Korea, focusing on improving human rights in North Korea in collaboration with the international community.
