North Korea's Futures: A National Intelligence Estimate

June 22, 2023 • 3:00 – 4:30 pm EDT

Brought to you by

Please join the CSIS Korea Chair for "North Korea's Futures: A National Intelligence Estimate" on Thursday, June 22, from 3:00-4:30 PM ET at CSIS Headquarters and online.

Although Kim Jong Un appears committed to securing a quantitatively and qualitatively growing nuclear and missile arsenal, the U.S.-ROK alliance remains strong and united in their cooperation to deter the growing North Korea threat.  While there is always a justified focus on recent North Korea developments, it is equally important to look strategically and consider challenges the North Korea threat might pose both now and in the years to come. Mr. Sydney Seiler, the U.S. Intelligence Community's National Intelligence Officer for North Korea, will share with CSIS his thoughts on these and related issues and walk through recently declassified key judgments of a National Intelligence Estimate on the subject.

In support of ONDI's effort to improve public understanding of the Intelligence Community (IC) and provide insight on national security issues, please click here to read the declassified IC report dated January 2023.

This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
