Online Event: AIDS 2020 Reimagined

May 29, 2020 • 12:00 – 12:45 pm EDT
From July 6-10, the International AIDS Society (IAS) is hosting the 23rd International AIDS Conference, the world's largest conference on HIV and AIDS. Originally to be held in San Francisco and Oakland - the first time in two cities - it is now, in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, to be an online convening: AIDS 2020: Virtual. This format will enable participants to access the latest HIV science, advocacy, and knowledge through a combination of virtual sessions, community networking, and a 24-hour plenary speaker schedule, reaching audiences around the globe. To conclude AIDS 2020: Virtual, IAS will host a session on breaking COVID-19 research, policy analysis, and frontline experience.

Please join us on Friday, May 29, from 12:00-12:45pm, for a conversation with Anton Pozniak, President of IAS, and Jennifer Kates, Senior Vice President and Director of Global Health & HIV Policy at the Kaiser Family Foundation and a member of the IAS governing council. J. Stephen Morrison, Senior Vice President and Director at the CSIS Global Health Policy Center, will host and moderate. They will discuss how the virtual conference format will operate, new opportunities it will offer, and answer questions from audience members.

This event is made possible by the generous support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
