Online Event: Civics as a National Security Imperative: A Conversation with Senior Military Officers

December 14, 2020 • 4:00 – 5:00 pm EST

As part of its Strategic Dialogue on Civic Education as a National Security Imperative, CSIS invites you to a conversation highlighting the importance of civic education from the perspective of senior military leaders. Liberal democracies around the world are facing a crisis of public confidence and our adversaries are using information operations to exploit fissures in an effort to weaken us. How can a reinvigoration of civic education and engagement build public resilience against these threats and help sustain and strengthen our democracy? And how important is civic education to the military, specifically?

This series is made possible by Craig Newmark Philanthropies.
