Online Event: A Conversation with U.S. Special Representative for Venezuela, Elliott Abrams

Wednesday, April 8, 2020 10:00 am - 10:45 am

Please join the CSIS Future of Venezuela Initiative for a virtual conversation with Elliott Abrams, the U.S. Special Representative for Venezuela. The conversation will focus on the change in U.S. policy towards Venezuela, as demonstrated by the newly released State Department "Democratic Transition Framework for Venezuela," and the recent Justice Department’s indictments of Maduro and other high-level members of the regime. Their discussion will touch upon the effect these new policies will have on U.S. sanctions, humanitarian assistance, and an eventual democratic transition in Venezuela.

The discussion will be moderated by CSIS Venezuela expert Moises Rendon, followed by a public Q&A.

This event will be available on demand afterwards on this page.

This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
