Online Event: The Eisenhower Legacy in Space

September 16, 2020 • 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EDT

Please join us on September 16 at 11:00 am ET for an exciting discussion with NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine and author Susan Eisenhower. Timed to coincide with the dedication of the Eisenhower Memorial on the National Mall, we will discuss President Eisenhower’s legacy in space. From the decision to separate military and civil space programs to the simultaneous competition and cooperation with the Soviet Union in space, the Eisenhower administration’s legacy in space continues to influence space policy and programs today.

While our discussion on September 16 will be focused on space, if you would like to hear more about the book Ms. Eisenhower recently published on her grandfather, How Ike Led, join CSIS’s Seth Center for a book talk with her on September 10 at 4:00 pm ET.

This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
