Online Event: Grid Resilience: Priorities for the Next Administration
The National Commission for Grid Resilience Presents: "Grid Resilience: Priorities for the Next Administration."
Please join Commissioners, General Clark, Congressman Issa, Norm Augustine, Dan Poneman, Kevin Knobloch, and Adam Cohen for a discussion on the nine bold and urgent recommendations they put forth in their newest report, "Grid Resilience: Priorities for the Next Administration."
“Since 2017, an alarming series of reports from the nation’s most esteemed scientific, infrastructure, and cyberspace expert communities have indicated that the nation’s power grid is profoundly vulnerable to active and continuous threats by hostile foreign state and non-state actors,” explains Commissioner, General Clark. A priority for the next administration should be for the United States to build a more secure and resilient power grid.
As threats continue to emerge, the U.S. must develop a practical balance between the needs for secrecy and action. In order to keep our nation powered and our electric companies informed, we must overcome the lag in communication between the intelligence community and power companies. It is imperative that both parties recognize their integral roles in securing our nation. Please join us for this important discussion on securing power grids.
