Online Event: Indian MSMEs Role in Building Supply Chain Resilience
Indian MSMEs Role in Building Supply Chain Resilience
India’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have a crucial role to play in India’s economy and its global supply chain resilience. Nearly half of India’s exports and more than a quarter of its industrial production is driven by MSMEs. As supply chains shift away from China and Covid-19 induced economic pressures mount, MSMEs face new opportunities as well as challenges. CSIS will discuss the impact of Covid-19 on MSMEs, how global supply chain resilience can be ensured through MSME growth, the critical role of U.S.-India cooperation in ensuring the same, and future prospects of supply chain resilience within the Indo-Pacific.
This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
