Online Event: Strategic Perspectives on Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated Fishing

September 17, 2020 • 12:00 – 1:00 pm EDT

IUU Fishing is being increasingly recognized as a threat to U.S. strategic interests around the globe. Whether through impacts to regional economies, global food security, or the sustainability of shared marine resources this pernicious practice has become a paramount concern for many coastal states. The U.S.' ability to respond to these concerns, in both word and deed, will have a direct impact on our ability to serve as an effective partner and nurture alliances in critical parts of the globe. Please join us for a conversation with senior members of the U.S. national security and foreign policy communities on how the nature of the challenge is evolving and the ways in which we can better respond to meet it.
