For many years, international development focused on increasing the amount of foreign aid to help solve global challenges. With only a few hundred billion dollars of money available as foreign aid, there is a need to rethink how it can be leveraged to mobilize domestic resources of developing countries and private capital available globally to pay for the trillions of dollars of investments needed to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
