Please join CSIS for a public, in-person event that will focus on opportunities for innovation in global development.
Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-TX) recently co-sponsored the Fostering Innovation in Global Development Act (FIGDA) alongside Congresswoman Young Kim (R-CA), and he will provide introductory remarks on the importance of U.S. government support for innovation in global development.
Following Congressman Castro’s remarks, we will be joined by a panel of distinguished participants, including Alix Peterson Zwane, the CEO of the Global Innovation Fund, and Colin Christensen, the Global Policy Director at One Acre Fund, with other speakers to be confirmed. The panel, moderated by Conor Savoy, Senior Fellow at CSIS, will discuss the landscape of innovation in global development, the evidence case to support innovation, and how FIGDA and other proposed reforms can further entrench innovation in how the U.S. government supports global development.
This event was made possible through general support to CSIS.
