Pacific Day 2016
The CSIS Pacific Partners Initiative, and the ambassadors and representatives of Pacific countries and territories, are pleased to host Pacific Day on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. The event will feature a seminar from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. addressing policy concerns in the Pacific.
The seminar will feature remarks by H.E. Peter Christian, President of the Federated States of Micronesia; H.E. Rimbink Pato, Foreign Minister of Papua New Guinea; H.E. John Silk, Foreign Minister of the Marshall Islands; H.E. Bruno Leingkone, Foreign Minister of Vanuatu; H.E. Umiich Sengebau, Minister for Natural Resources, Environment and Tourism of Papua New Guinea; and The Hon. Tom Shannon, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs.
Pacific Day is held annually at the Embassy of New Zealand. Admission is by invitation only, but the seminar will be webcast live on this page.
