This panel will discuss challenges and promising solutions in the collection, management, and use of data by humanitarian organizations. Panelists will discuss the need for a “humanitarian data intervention,” allowing for data and technology to be made available to local populations in the interest of better humanitarian responses. Themes that will be explored include accountability, transparency, and the ethical basis of power relations.
