Panel 3: Opportunities for Defense Collaboration
Russia’s war in Ukraine has evolved into a grinding war of attrition, one where a strong defense industry, which is a critical asset for any major conflict, is especially important. This panel will explore how to strengthen collaboration between the U.S. and European partners. It will touch on current issues such as addressing stockpile challenges, opportunities for innovation, and solidifying transatlantic partnerships through public and private sector investments.
This panel will feature the Honorable Ellen Lord, former Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment; the Honorable Bill Lynn, CEO of Leonardo DRS and former U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense; and the Honorable Ms. Deborah G. Rosenblum, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs (ASD(NCB)), and Performing the Duties of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (ASD(IBP)). The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Cynthia Cook, CSIS Senior Fellow and Director of the Defense-Industrial Initiatives Group.
