Please join the Freeman Chair for a discussion of the dynamics shaping US-Taiwan cooperation in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. Both economies are leaders in this field and their level of engagement has deepened over the last few decades. The panelists will discuss how cooperation is affected by trends in the American and Taiwanese economies, the evolution of transnational production and innovation networks, and international politics. In addition to commercial partnerships, the panel will also discuss the outcomes of the recent US-Taiwan Digital Economy Forum and the prospects for ICT’s inclusion in the US-Taiwan Global Cooperation and Training Framework Agreement.
