Plenary Panel: Envisioning a Free and Prosperous Ukraine

October 13, 2022 • 9:00 – 10:00 am EDT

Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, conversations around what reconstruction will look like are already taking place. The reconstruction of a free and independent Ukraine will require immense collaborative support from donor governments, various multilaterals, and strong involvement from the private sector. The United States and other donors must start supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts now and plan for the path ahead. This panel will evaluate what economic sectors will facilitate reconstruction of Ukraine and stimulate economic growth. Additionally, the panel will evaluate how donors, multilateral institutions, and the Ukraine government will contribute to reconstruction efforts. The panel will also explore what role the private sector will play in Ukraine’s reconstruction and look at the necessary security and governance conditions for private sector organizations to invest in Ukraine.

Please join CSIS to discuss how governments, multilaterals, and the private sector can help actualize a vision for a free and prosperous Ukraine.
